My view on the NZ nuclear free stance

I have decided to be on the American Government side for this topic. Which means that I am on the nuclear side! Or am I on the David Lange side? Ok, I think I'm half and half. That means I'm half a nuke and half no-nuke. But plutonium (the stuff inside nukes) takes a gargantuan 24,110 YEARS TO DECAY!! So maybe I am on the David Lange side. NUKES ARE BAD! LET NUCLEAR FREE NZ LIVE ON! And also, the fallout from the radiation would kill off nearly all of the people in the area where the nuke hit. So overall, NUKES ARE NOT GOOD. Snap out of it, racist Donald Trump and chubby Kim Jong-Un! Gosh! I just wish that North Korea would commit suicide and nuke itself! Then South Korea could expand up the Korea Peninsula and unify Korea! Yaaaay! So yeah, that was my view on the NZ nuclear free stance, and see you on the next one!

My view on the proposed Haast-Hollyford Road

Apparently, there is a proposed road that connects Haast to the Milford Sounds. If the road was to be built, it would shave 370 km off the route that you currently have to take. But on the downside, the road would cost a whopping 250 million dollars! But unfortunately, I am on the NO ROAD side. And it would also traverse all kinds of terrain that is easy for a hiker to navigate, but not for a car. And the road would also go through the forest, where nature lives (according to Mr McAulay). Also, the birds wouldn't like cars driving through their homes, so they'd probably gang up in large flocks and attack the occupants inside. So yeah, that's it. See you on the next one!

My view on the Rainbow Warrior

Just before midnight on the 10th of July, 1985, an atoll in French Polynesia was detonated like heck.
I am on the French Government side. Apparently, the French blew up the island, and sank the Rainbow Warrior at Marsden Wharf in Auckland just a few hours later. All I know is that the Rainbow Warrior is lying on a seabed, with two rather large bomb holes in it's side. And the reason why the Rainbow Warrior was bombed was because they were protesting against the French.

My view on Springbok

Springbok tour: It all started on the 19th of July, 1981. 36 years ago, as of 2017. I have been chosen for the protester's side. What I do know is that Springbok is a town in South Africa, and is also an animal native to South Africa. And also, my parents have NEVER mentioned the word 'Springbok' to me. The protesters were trying to stop the rugby game from happening, but the rugby supporters wanted the game to happen. Then the protesters got into a massive fight, almost a civil war, with the police. Apparently the Springboks did not want the Maori All Blacks to play. Basically all that happened was heaps of punching, fighting, kicking, bleeding, and shooting (I think).

My Opinion on School

I think that you absolutely need to go to school. It is important for your education, and your education is important. In fact, if you didn't go to school, you would be extremely dumb, and you would not understand the laws and physics of the universe/s.

Also, you wouldn't be smart enough to get a job, and nobody would want to employ you. And maths is also another necessary thing that you need to be taught. Because if you got a job at Mitre 10 Mega when you got older, and you had to cut planks of wood up, you would need to figure out how to precisely cut a plank of wood in half.

And then you have reading. Reading is also very important, as it expands your imagination and creativity, and your vocabulary. Otherwise, you would not know how to communicate properly, and you would just stumble around, crying: "Goo goo ga ga!" And that would be extremely embarrassing in front of all your friends.

Next, you have technology, like mobile phones, computers, laptops, X boxes, etc. Nowadays at school, you learn how to use technology in a rightful manner, like typing. The more you learn to type, the faster you can type. So, if you are typing an article for the local newspaper, and you're a professional typer, you'll be able to get the job done very fast. If you didn't know how to even type, you'd probably be bashing at the keyboard of your laptop or computer with your fists. So that is my opinion on school, and how important it is. See you on the next one!

Programming Concepts

In class, we are learning to demonstrate programming concepts. I can use the 'For' loop. I can write code efficiently, I can reflect on my strategy used for the code, I can add 2 lists.

In the maze challenge, the Turtle has to go through the maze, and instead of using three lots of code, we can trim it down to:

for i in range(0,3):

myMaze.forward(40)
  myMaze.pendown()
  myMaze.forward(mazeWidth)
  myMaze.right(90)
  myMaze.forward(100)
  myMaze.right(90)
